Live From: 26th Lexus MGA Senior Open
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (August 29, 2022) -- The 26th Lexus MGA Senior Open Championship is underway from The Patterson Club in Fairfield, Conn., as the region's top professionals and amateurs aged 50 and older vie for the championship's silver platter. The field, which contains eight past Met Open champions, continually gets stronger each year as players reach the 50-year eligibility mark.
This year's field contains 10 past champions, while past MGA winners Niall Handley of Rock Spring (2011, 2014 Mid-Am) and Michael Stamberger of Manasquan River (2003 Met Amateur), look to content in their first year of eligibility.
Patterson is hosting its third MGA championship, welcoming its first event since the 2016 Met Junior Championship.
