Lexus MGA Long Drive Registration Closes Sept. 29

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (September 20, 2023) -- The Lexus MGA Long Drive Championship returns for its third year, taking place on Saturday, October 7 at the Bethpage Polo Field in Farmingdale, N.Y. Registration closes on Friday, September 29 at 5 p.m.

The championship is open to male and female amateurs age 12 and older, with eight divisions — girls/boys (players not yet 16), juniors (not yet 19), mid-amateurs (30+) and seniors (55+) — and overall men's and women's titles.

The event is a stand-alone MGA amateur event and builds on the popular Long Drive Championships held throughout the country, welcoming players of all skills and ability that simply want to see how their power of the tee measures up against others in the Met Area.

Competitors will have the opportunitiy to hit 10 drives over the course of five minutes. The longest drive coming to rest in the field's grid counts for both the division and overall competitions. A GOLFZON Wave will provide real-time measurements and data, while the physical measurement will stand as the official distance. At the end of the competition, the top two overall male and female players will compete in a sudden-death playoff to determine overall champions.

The $50.00 entry fee includes vineyard vines and ahead tee gifts.
