While Beach, 33, began the championship with a 4-over 76 at Twin Warriors, he bounced back with a 71 at Santa Ana to make the initial cut in the 312-player championship. Beach, winner of the 2019 PGA Professional Championship and Assistant PGA Professional Championship, then made his move in round three with a 6-under 66 at Twin Warriors as he tallied seven birdies to just one bogey on the day.

In the final round Beach had a pair of birdies to offset a single double-bogey as he carded an even-par 72 at Twin Warriors to lock in his tie for 11th with a 3-under 285 tournament total. This will be Beach's sixth PGA Championship appearance in the last seven years.

Sanger used rounds of 69-72-69 over the first three days to enter the final round in solo third. In the third round, he used a hot stretch with five birdies in six holes to help him move toward the top of the leaderboard. While Sanger turned in a final round 76, his play over the first three rounds kept him within the top 20 as he punched his ticket to Oak Hill.

The PGA Championship takes place May 15-21 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y.
