William Clifford of Blue Hill took advantage of local knowledge to earn medalist honors with a 2-under par round of 70. The only player from the 48-man field to finish under par, Clifford's five birdies and two bogeys separated him from the field by three strokes.
Charles "Chip" Foley followed with a 1-over 73 that consisted of 17 pars and a lone bogey on the 10th hole, a long and demanding par four.
At 2-over 74, Mark Stankewicz of Neshanic Valley, Brent Fredericksen of Met PGA Junior GC, and Mike Macaluso of MGA Eclub - New Jersey safely qualified for the championship.
Michael Sabino of MGA Eclub - New Jersey played his final seven holes at 2-under to post a 3-over 75 and also advance to Spook Rock, while Frank Rubino of Sterling Farms rounded out the list of qualifiers with a round of 4-over 76.
