U.S. Open Sectional: Mid-Day Update
PURCHASE, N.Y. (June 2, 2014) - Halfway through the U.S. Open Sectional Quailfying Round at Old Oaks and Century Country Clubs in Purchase, N.Y., Rob Oppenheim of Orlando, Fl. is leading the field with a 18-hole score of 6-under 64 at Old Oaks. Oppenheim has been playing on the web.com Tour and recently had his best finish when he was T4 at the South Georgia Classic a few weeks ago.

Fran Quinn of Holden, Mass. shot a 2-under 69 at Century with a round that included six birdies. Quinn has four victories on the web.com tour, the latest in 2010 at the Panama Claro Classic. Jamie Lovemark, another web.com Tour winner and a member of the 2007 Walker Cup, shot a 69 at Old Oaks, along with Robet Leopold, an amateur from Coventry, R.I.
Two-time U.S. Open winner Lee Janzen shot an even par-71 at Century, and playing partner amateur Cameron Wilson was one stroke behind with a 72.
2013 U.S. Mid-Am winner Michael McCoy shot a 71 at Century. 2013 MGA Player of the Year Max Buckley was 4-over 75 at Century this morning.
Cody Paladino from Kensington, Conn., recorded a hole-in-one on the par 3 7th hole at Old Oaks.
