U.S. Amateur NJ SQR Site Changed from Black Oak to Canoe Brook
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 17, 2013) - Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat over the past few weeks, course conditions at Black Oak Golf Club are such that we must change sites. As authorized by the USGA, the U.S. Amateur Championship SQR (NJ) will be moved to Canoe Brook Country Club (South Course). The date and all tee times remain the same
Please be aware that Black Oak Golf Club has already committed to hosting this SQR in 2014. The MGA appreciates the support of its member clubs and thanks both Black Oak Golf Club and Canoe Brook Country Club for their willingness and flexibility in hosting MGA-sponsored events.
Below are the links needed for the 113th U.S. Amateur Championship SQR (NJ) being held at Canoe Brook Country Club (South Course) in Summit, N.J. on Thursday, July 25th. Please be reminded that this tournament information will also be available on the MGA website (www.mgagolf.org).
Please be aware that this event is a one-day 36-hole stroke play competition. As authorized by the USGA, the field will be cut after the morning round. The cut will include the low 25 players plus ties and anyone within eight (8) strokes of the 18-hole leader. Tee times for the afternoon round will be announced as players conclude their morning rounds. Players who fail to make the cut will not be permitted to play in the afternoon.
Thanks for your patience and understanding in dealing with these weather-related issues.
