Big Weekend of Kids Golf Events at Mosholu
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 19, 2011) - Junior golfers and their families are encouraged to come out to Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx, N.Y., this Saturday, May 21, for two outstanding events that grow and promote junior golf throughout the Met Area.
The Kids’ Golf Fest is a free event that brings together junior golfers from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York and the Met PGA Junior Golf Association to promote a better understanding of their programs and foster new interest from junior golfers in the area. Participants will enjoy skills clinics by PGA professionals, including the Golf Channel’s Michael Breed of Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale, N.Y. There will also be an on-course rules presentation by Glen Arbor’s Brian Crowell and Fenway’s Heath Wassem, along with driving range, putting and chipping tips, and more. Visit www.met.pga.com for more information.
In addition to the Kid’s Golf Fest, The Family Golf Challenge involves entire families. Two- person teams of adults and kids compete in a series of skills contests that include long drive and putting challenges. With a significant portion of the day’s entry fees going to the First Tee of Metropolitan New York, the Family Golf Challenge is a fun and exciting way to contribute towards the enhancement and proliferation of the game in our area. Visit www.thefamilygolfchallenge.com for more information.
Come enjoy the great atmosphere at The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s flagship facility and get your kids excited about golf.
