First Tee Met New York to Celebrate 10th Anniversary
July 19, 2011 – The First Tee of Metropolitan New York (TFTMNY) will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on October 5, 2011, with a Gala Celebration at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. On this special evening, TFTMNY will look back on the tremendous success that it has achieved during the last decade while honoring its founding partners and sponsors. Former President Bill Clinton will join in a commemoration of the remarkable life and vision of TFTMNY founding trustee Lew Rudin, whose passion for educating youth through the game of golf made the creation of TFTMNY possible. The Gala will also recognize the support of the Metropolitan Golf Association, Met PGA, PGA Tour, MasterCard, The Barclays, and TFTMNY Trustees—the Ryan and Wilf Families.
The First Tee Metropolitan New York is a junior initiative committed to teaching juniors the game of golf and all its great values, offering youngsters through golf instruction a seamless exposure to life skills, promoting the game as a family activity, and developing not only new golfers, but better people.
