Join The First Tee of Metropolitan N.Y. at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage
ELMSFORD, N.Y. - The 109th U.S. Open Championship is returning to the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y. The championship will be contested from June 15-21 and The First Tee of Metropolitan New York has been offered a great opportunity for our chapter. We are responsible for filling shifts for the full 7 days of the event. As you know, the weekend shifts will fill up quickly. If you are able to volunteer during the week, please do so, as those will be the most difficult times for us to fill. Shifts will be a 6-8 hour period in which you will be working a variety of jobs at the Trophy Club concession stand. Before and after your shift, you will be free to watch the championship as a spectator. Volunteers must be 15 years of age of older. Jobs you might be expected to fill: For each day you work a shift you will receive: As of November, the 2009 U.S. Open is SOLD OUT for Thursday through Sunday. Participating in this fundraiser is a great way to see the top golfers in the world, a tremendous golf course, as well as to give back to The First Tee of Metropolitan New York. Your help in this endeavor is greatly appreciated!
