Tour Update - Henry Posts Top Ten; Albus Fires Sizzling Final Round 64
Elmsford, N.Y. - J.J. Henry’s strong play continued this weekend as the Fairfield, CT native shot rounds of 67-69-67-68 to finish tied for 10th at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship played at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. Henry’s nine-under-par finish earned him $148,800 bringing his 2005 total to $454,113, 72nd on the PGA Tour Money List.
On the Champions Tour, former Piping Rock head professional Jim Albus (left) lit up The Moors Golf Club with six birdies and no bogeys in his final round 64 at the Blue Angels Classic in Milton, FL. Albus earned $6,000 placing him 48th on the Champions Tour Money List with $96,705 for the season
The local contingent on the Nationwide Tour did not fair so well this week. Only Hackettstown, NJ’s Chris Nallen survived the cut finishing tied for 57th at the Rheem Classic in Fort Smith, AR. Hackensack, NJ’s Jim McGovern and Garrison, NY’s Johnson Wagner both missed the cut.
On the LPGA Tour Katie Allison of Mahwah, NJ shot 77-80 to miss the cut at the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez at Eagles Landing Country Club in Atlanta. Annika Sorenstam captured her 60th LPGA victory, placing her with Patty Berg for third on the all-time LPGA wins list.
