Locals Miss by Just a Single Stroke
Rio Rico, AZ… When players talk about the pressures of “Q School” they are referring to what three of the Met Area’s talented young professionals experienced during the school’s first stage. Tyler Hall of Wayne, NJ, Brian Lamberti of Granite Springs, NY and former GlenArbor Head Professional Rob Labritz each played extremely well only to watch their dreams of competing on the PGA Tour fall just one shot short. Despite shooting 68-68 on the weekend Lamberti’s three-under- par, 277 was just shy of the cut number in the event held at Florence CC in Florence, SC. Labritz, who spent this past season competing on the Canadian Tour, also played well but also came up just one shot shy at Martin Downs CC in Palm City, FL.
In addition, Mill River’s Nick Cook finished tied for 57th (+ 7 - 287), while Noah Zelnik of Nevele Grand finished in 78th (+18- 298) both at Florence CC.
