"We are thrilled to provide an opportunity for disabled individuals to enjoy a fun-filled day of golf and camaraderie," said John Flaschner, Executive Director of the American Golf Foundation. "Golf is an extraordinary sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and we are pleased to work in partnership with our sponsors and supporters to introduce the game to local residents who might not otherwise have exposure to it."
Dennis Walters was a professional golfer more than 25 years ago when a golf cart accident left him a paraplegic. Since that time, he has developed a special golf cart that enables him to continue playing golf, and has devoted his life to entertaining and inspiring others to overcome adversity through his dynamic Dennis Walters Golf Show. His show has been featured at numerous PGA events and on a variety of national television programs, and he serves as the warm-up act for the Tiger Woods Junior Golf Clinics hosted by Tiger and his father, Earl Woods.
