West Orange, NJ- Brian Boyd of Spring Brook and Stephen Boyd of Baltusrol teamed up to shoot a one-under-par 70 (37 – 33) to capture the 2004 MGA Father & Son Championship today at Essex County Country Club in West Orange, NJ.  The  Boyd’s tied for 3^rd at last year’s Championship at Wee Burn Country Club.

Charles and Charles Jr. Hutchinson of Canoe Brook won the net division by firing a net six-under-par 65 (71 – 6).  The Hutchinson team edged out Douglas and Paul Markey of Redding and the gross champion Boyds who shot net 66s.

The format for the championship was an 18-hole pinehurst.  Players competed at 40% of their handicap for the prizes in the net division.
