MGA Announces Multi-Year Corporate Partner Extension with Webster Bank

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 26, 2026) – The Metropolitan Golf Association is pleased to announce a multi-year extension with Webster Bank as an official partner and the “Official Commercial Bank” of the MGA.

The MGA and Webster Bank have worked together since 2018 and Webster Bank, through the Not-for-Profit Banking team led by Dan Liberty, Regional President, has been a strong supporter of MGA events and initiatives, including youth initiatives, amateur championships, and educational opportunities for MGA members.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Webster Bank, whose ongoing support plays a meaningful role in advancing MGA programs and initiatives,” said Brian Mahoney, MGA Executive Director/CEO. “Webster’s commitment helps us expand programming, create opportunities, and work together to make an impact for golfers throughout the Met Area.”

As part of its ongoing partnership, Webster Bank will continue to support amateur golf as the title sponsor of the Long Island Amateur Championship and provide new opportunities for juniors through youth clinics for boys and girls across the Met Area, including a clinic held in conjunction with the Met Open Pro-Am in August. Webster Bank will also continue to play a role in MGA educational events for club leaders through participation in the Club Ambassador and Presidents Council seminars.

“The MGA inspires excellence in golf and brings people together through values we deeply respect: trust, integrity, and collaboration,” said Chris Motl, President of Commercial Banking. “At Webster Bank, those values drive everything we do, which is why we’re proud to celebrate our eighth year as the official bank of the MGA.”
