Throughout the Metropolitan area, hundreds of young men and women are experiencing golf first hand by becoming a caddie. Responsibility, hard work, exercise and camaraderie are all skills that a caddie will experience throughout a summer. Not only are the immediate financial benefits important but caddies build relationships with employers and club members that become part of a long lasting professional network.
The Metropolitan Golf Association Foundation supports caddying through recruitment, education and funding the multiple caddy scholarships throughout the area. The MGA Caddie Academies are held every April throughout the tri-state area. Although not a prerequisite for caddying, they are an excellent introductory opportunity.
