SCARSDALE, N.Y. (May 26, 2026) Five junior golfers punched their tickets to their respective national championships at Sunningdale Country Club on Tuesday with three golfers moving on to the 78th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club (Old Course) Bethlehem, PA. and two golfers advancing to the 77th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C.

The girls field consisted of 37 competitors all looking to punch their ticket to Old Chatham Country Club in Durham North Carolina. Maria Isabella Errichetto of Southern Pines, N.C. with a round of 3 under. She fought back from an even par front nine to finish 3 under on the back and earn medalist honors. Angela Liang of Bridgewater, N.J. secured the second qualifying spot with a 2 under round. She finished her round with three birdies on the back nine to secure the second spot.
Maria Glavin of Waterford N.Y. and Maddie Chang of New York N.Y. were the only two competitors to finish with rounds of even par. Glavin claimed the spot as first alternate after winning in a playoff while Chang claimed the second alternate spot in a playoff.
Eli Weidmann of Jamaica, N.Y., earned medalist honors at the 78th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship qualifier, carding a 3-under-par 64. The 18-year-old followed an opening 2-under 34 on the front nine, his round was highlighted by four birdies over his final seven holes to pull away from the field. Samson Landers of Little Silver, N.J., secured the second qualifying spot at 2-under-par 65. Aidan Tudor of New Market, Md., claimed the final qualifying position at 1-under-par 66. Tudor posted matching stretches of strong play throughout the round, highlighted by birdies on Nos. 3, 5, 11 and 16 to finish one shot under par.
Michael Clifford-Levy of East Hampton, N.Y., and Jacob Normandeau of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, also finished at 1-under-par 66 and earned first and second alternate positions.
