ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 10, 2011) –For the second consecutive year, PGA Tour winner and 2006 Ryder Cup member J.J. Henry will be hosting the J.J. Henry Invitational, a charity-based golf outing to be held at the Patterson Club in Fairfield, Connecticut, on Monday, June 27. Proceeds raised at this event will benefit both the Henry House Foundation and The First Tee of Metropolitan New York.
The exciting day begins with opening practice and lunch, preceding an 18-hole scramble that features prizes for several challenges, including closest to the pin, longest drive, and the overall winners. Following the round of golf is a reception on-site at the new Patterson clubhouse. The reception includes dinner, guest speakers, and entertainment with live and silent auctions. The outing promises to be an exciting and memorable day that will raise money to benefit two great youth-oriented organizations in the metropolitan area.
J.J. Henry continues to be a positive influence on Met Area youth and golfers alike. The Henry House Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2006 that aims to support healthcare and the well-being of children by making donations to fund medical and support services in southern New England. The First Tee is a youth developmental organization dedicated to impacting the lives of young people by providing learning opportunities that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
The event provides an opportunity to play golf and make a difference at the same time. You can sign up online today through a link on The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s website.
