Zachary & Bob Herrmann capture Parent-Child
Nissequogue N.Y. (July 22, 2024) On a sunny Monday in Nissequogue, it was the duo of Zachary & Bob Herrmann of St. George’s G & CC who topped a leaderboard which saw many low scores at the 4th MGA Parent-Child Championship.
The Duo finished at net 9-under par alongside Rahul Vinnakota & Lucy Vinnakota who also shot a 63. After a match of cards, it was team Herrmann who shot a back nine 38, that was able to claim the Championship.
The Herrmann duo had a hot start to the day making birdies on the first and second holes. They would follow that up with another on the seventh and two more net birdies on eight and nine. The strong start saw them open with 35 on the front nine. The back nine proved tougher for our winners and the field as they would close the round with a back nine 38.
The Herrmanns would also take home the LIGA Parent-Child Championship once again winning via a match of cards over the Vinnakota’s. The WGA Parent-Child Championship was won by Peter & Peter Rubeo of Sprain Lake Golf Course after shooting a net 6-under 66.
Peter and Peter Rubio would also take a solo third place in the MGA Parent-Child Championship.
