BRONX, N.Y. (January 9, 2012) – On Saturday, January 7th, more than 30 First Tee Metropolitan New York participants gathered at Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx for the second seminar in The Path to College series. Designed to help high school students gain insight into the college application process, students were provided tips on how to build a solid resume.
Manhattanville College Director of Graduate Admission Nikhil Kumar and Ned May, co-Founder of The First Tee Young Benefactors, shared their knowledge on what is needed to create a powerful resume and discussed the importance of the resume as a in landing internships during college and future job placement. In addition, Kumar and May talked about their experiences leading up to college, while in college, and how their choices have shaped their careers.
Supported by The First Tee of Metropolitan New York Young Benefactors, The Path to College program is a series of informative seminars which focuses on educating participants on how to prepare for college. Topics covered are researching and applying to colleges, financial aid planning and skills for interviewing essay writing.
