July 20, 2011 – The Family Golf Challenge has a great lineup of host sites for the remainder of the summer. These fun days of friendly competition feature numerous types of golf skills contests that are designed for amateur players of all skill levels. Whether you are an avid golfer or new to the game, the program engages two-person teams comprised of adults and kids (ages 7-17) in a fun and rewarding experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Teams can enter the long drive and/or putting challenge as many times as they choose over the duration of each event. This is the inaugural season for The Family Golf Challenge and Chelsea Piers Golf Club is just one of multiple events that will host a competition in the Met Area this summer. The winning team in 12 individual categories will compete in a regional playoff for prizes during September. The 2011 summer schedule is listed below.
The entry fee is $15 for each team, with $5 of that amount going directly to The First Tee of Metropolitan New York, which has been designated as the event beneficiary. To register for an upcoming competition or for more information on The Family Golf Challenge, click here.
